What to Mix with Tanqueray Sevilla: 5 Things You Already Have (Recipes)

If you’re looking to venture out with a flavored gin, you’re wise to stick with a trusted brand.

Tanqueray has been around since 1830 but its Orange Flor de Sevilla debuted in 2018. It’s been on the shelves a while, so you may be wondering how to serve it up.

So What to Mix with Tanqueray Sevilla?

Tanqueray Sevilla is orange in color and flavor. This gin goes well with several mixers such as sparkling water, soda, certain tonics, tart fruit juices and even vanilla ice cream can help you create a delicious gin cocktail.

The benefits don’t stop there. Tanqueray Sevilla orange is so versatile, it can be used as a substitute in some other classics.

Let’s answer the most common questions and have fun exploring how to drink this delicious orange gin.

Is Tanqueray Sevilla sweet?

Sevilla Orange Gin is sweetened but with some restraint. Unlike a sloe gin, Sevilla can be sipped neat and not come across as a syrupy liqueur.

The flavor of Sevilla is distinctly orange but doesn’t interfere with the traditional 4 botanical mix Tanqueray drinkers love. It still tastes like a London Dry but introduces a pleasantly intense orange flavor.

Because it’s not too sweet, Sevilla is perfect for our first two recommendations for using what you probably already have in the pantry.

Mix Tanqueray Sevilla Orange Gin with Soda

Basic does not always mean boring and sometimes you want something clean and uncomplicated.

Mixing Sevilla Orange with soda makes a light, refreshing and mildly sweet cocktail. Add an orange wedge garnish to provide a pop of extra citrus freshness. Easy and good.

Tanqueray Sevilla Gin and Tonic

The distiller’s very own recommendation is to mix a Gin and Tonic.

This is one of the best cocktails you can make. The London Dry botanicals combine well with the bitter, sweet combination of orange and quinine. So as a starting point, use lots of ice, a premium tonic and a wedge of orange.

And don’t forget, there’s more than one Gin and Tonic to make! Try your G & T garnished with some herbs like basil, thyme and rosemary or even peppercorns in place of the orange garnish, or make a blend.

With so many interesting tonic waters to choose from, there’s no doubt you can come up with a lot of delightful flavor combinations to keep you busy.

Gin Boss: Opinion on Tanqueray Sevilla Orange

Flavored gins are not usually Gin Boss’s taste but Gin boss recommends Tanqueray’s Sevilla Gin without reservation.

The orange flavor is pleasantly bold, its sweetness very acceptable and it offers opportunities as an easy pour on the rocks, paired with a mixer or as a flavor bomb in a cocktail.

I’ll keep it stocked!
