Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin Review: Plus 5 Easy Recipes

If you’re wondering what you can do with Gordon’s Lemon Gin, the answer is “a lot!” Instead of being limited to a small list of boring drinks, this is a gin that will give you many wonderful options.

What does Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin Taste Like

Gordon’s Lemon Gin has an aroma split between lemon and juniper. It tastes of lemon zest, more juniper, a touch of licorice and has an oily mouthfeel. The initial taste is mildly sweet but finishes with a lovely warmth, spiciness with the sweet candied lemon peel lingering.

You won’t give up the juniper to get the lemon in this gin.

The other good news is that it doesn’t have to end there. As promised, here are the five easy and delicious cocktails recipes all using Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin.

Summing It Up

Honestly, my first impression of Gordon’s Sicilian Lemon Gin was not fabulous. I found the aroma too similar to cleaning products. As I am not one to waste, I endeavored to make the most of it.

It was not until developing the Lemon Meringue Pie cocktail that I discovered its power. In testing, the plain London Dry Gin version was good but lacked the deep lemon flavor I was looking for. When I used Gordon’s Lemon Gin, it produced exactly what I wanted.

I started to use it in other lemon cocktails and found its sweetness a plus when I could skip the simple syrup.

Gordon’s Lemon Gin did a good job but I think my search for a good lemon gin continues. The flavors are all natural even though it doesn’t come off like freshly sliced lemons.

Gordon’s Lemon Gin makes a good cocktail but I would not be eager to replace it due to the use of artificial coloring. Too bad they just didn’t put it in a colored bottle or use natural coloring. In the meantime, I will use extra lemon juice and other means to fortify lemon flavor.
